Demonstrating true care coordination and collaboration with Kno2’s integration for Microsoft Teams
BOISE, Idaho – February 7, 2019 – Kno2®, the company that provides Interoperability as a Service™ to everyone in healthcare, today announced it is enabling integration of electronic health records with Microsoft Teams. The company will exhibit its solution for Teams in the Microsoft booth #2500 at HIMSS19 next week.
This past fall, the company announced an initiative with Microsoft to integrate their interoperability services to Microsoft 365, expanding a platform that drives secure connectivity to millions of patient records maintained in disparate EHRs while utilizing Microsoft’s suite of collaboration tools. The combination of Kno2’s Interoperability as a Service with Teams gives providers a robust platform that combines chat, voice, video, file sharing, and real-time patient records in a single place, to enable secure care coordination in and outside the four walls of a health system.
The demonstration at HIMSS19 will include the use of Direct messaging and patient information query using the Carequality Interoperability Framework, which makes Teams an even more powerful hub for healthcare teams.
“Most, if not all EHR’s fall short of providing proper tools for the coordination and collaboration of care across disparate systems, said Jon Elwell, chief executive officer at Kno2. “Through the integration of Kno2 we are enabling care givers to use tools within their EHR for patient information with Teams as their platform for collaboration simultaneously…providing the best of both worlds…information in the right place at the right time.” Elwell continues, “Kno2’s integration to Teams provides a solution that is ubiquitous, in an interface everyone understands and already comfortable working in, enabling true care coordination and collaboration across every patient care setting.”
“Through the work of partners like Kno2, healthcare teams can now use Teams as an integrated and interoperable care collaboration platform, across providers, regardless of their respective EHR solutions,” said Mike Ammerlaan, director, Microsoft 365 Ecosystem, Microsoft Corp.
Kno2 will also offer live demonstrations of its Interoperability as a Service in the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ Marketplace, #9100-88.
In addition to Microsoft, Kno2 has several business partners that will be exhibiting at HIMSS, including Aprima, Carequality, CommonWell Health Alliance, Experian Health, Harris Healthcare, HCS, Konica Minolta, OpenText, PointClickCare, ShareCare, Surescripts and WellSky. We encourage attendees to visit to learn more about their relationship with Kno2.
The Kno2 team is available to meet during the week with potential business partners to discover the path to interoperability and fax elimination. Visit https://kno2.com/himss19/ to request a meeting time.
