BOISE, Idaho, and SYRACUSE, N.Y. – December 14, 2017 – Kno2®, the company that provides Interoperability as a Service™ (IaaS) to everyone in healthcare and ClinicTracker, a mental health and substance abuse electronic health record (EHR), today announced a partnership agreement. Kno2’s IaaS provides an immediate path to interoperability, enabling the electronic exchange of patient information between ClinicTracker’s behavioral health agencies and other healthcare providers throughout the continuum.
More Than Fax
Healthcare organizations are working hard to move from paper-based and manual processes to more digital workflows. When ClinicTracker customers requested a cloud fax solution, the company responded with more than fax. By turning on Kno2’s cloud fax service, organizations will not only get a better fax experience, but one that guides them toward interoperability. With Kno2’s Interoperability as a Service, ClinicTracker customers will also have Direct messaging capabilities, making them more attractive referral partners as they join the more than 2.5 million providers in Kno2’s national provider directory.
“I’m excited that we can offer our customers an even higher level of interoperability than they requested,” said Joshua Gordon, president at ClinicTracker. “This integration is another step in our effort to make sure agencies that use our software have access to the latest technology for seamless sharing of patient information. I look forward to working with Kno2 because they are passionate about their approach to interoperability.”
While ClinicTracker already offers Kno2’s cloud faxing, users will soon be able to leverage Kno2’s ability to send, receive, find, and use patient information directly from within the ClinicTracker EHR. Functionality will continue to expand when ClinicTracker incorporates the Carequality Interoperability Framework, enabling patient information query bidirectionally with surrounding health systems and hospitals.
“Our fax service comes with a path to interoperability so we can get fax out of healthcare,” said Jon Elwell, CEO of Kno2. “Anyone who turns on Kno2, at a minimum, has Direct messaging available along with analytics guiding them to connect providers that are not connected today. We are excited to partner with ClinicTracker to provide an immediate solution for their customers that will only evolve over time.”
