Kno2 is excited to announce Tabitha Mathis as our April Employee Spotlight. Tabitha joined Kno2 just last year and has already made such a huge impact. She was recently promoted to Information Security Compliance Analyst. While she operates behind the scenes, Tabitha makes sure Kno2 technology is secure and helps to respond to security questionnaires and ensure security compliance to certifications like SOC2 Type 2.
What do you do at Kno2?
What do you do at Kno2?I am an Information Security Compliance Analyst on Kno’2 Security Team. I help identify and reduce technology risks and utilize various techniques while working with multiple teams within technology to execute. I’m responsible for examining existing policies and procedures to identify gaps as well as drafting/creating new policies if needed. I also manage and respond to security questionnaires and ensure compliance to certifications that apply to our organization.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?
Every day I am presented with a new challenge. I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of my role. In this industry, there are so many things to learn and so many opportunities to grow. My role is based on compliance, but at Kno2 I get to put my hands in different pots and expand my knowledge. At other companies, it’s common to be pigeon-holed into a role, but thankfully at Kno2 I get to broaden my horizons. I learn something new every single day and I have to thank my team for that. We work together to find ways to make our organization stronger each day. Aside from constantly learning and growing, I wake up every day knowing I am making some kind of difference. I get to combine two of my
passions: healthcare and technology, what more could I ask for!
What do you enjoy most outside of work?
I’m a huge homebody so when I’m not home relaxing, you can catch me at a yoga studio or trying a new restaurant. I recently started back traveling! I love cooking, nature walks and spending time with my friends and family also.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I LOVE listening to music. Currently taking piano lessons and guitar lessons are up next.
