We are pleased to announce that Matt Harp has been named our October Employee Spotlight. Matt is our Manager of Client Activation. His energy and positivity are unmatched. The leadership he brings to the department with his ability to maintain these qualities has led to quick trust both internally and externally. His natural values match Kno2’s inherently, and we couldn’t be more thrilled and fortunate to have Matt as part of the Kno2 family
What do you do at Kno2?
I manage a team of individuals that interact closely with our end users. Being able to interact so closely with our users really brings us joy. We strive to put ourselves in other’s shoes to understand how they work and to make their experience with the Kno2 platform as easy and consistent as possible. I also guide a team of engineers with the goal of maintaining an exceptional level of the end user experience.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?
There’s a couple reasons! The first is knowing that what we come to work for everyday is changing healthcare. We not only have the opportunity to change how healthcare works but also to save lives! Some of the lifesaving stories told to our team has really inspired me to make sure that our application is always operating at peak performance. The second reason is our team. It’s one thing to enjoy a role or be passionate about a product or service, but it’s another to do it with people that you genuinely enjoy being around.
What do you enjoy most outside of work?
I am by no means “good” at the sport, but golf has recently stole my heart! There is nothing quite like being in a beautiful environment, with a group of your best friends, just enjoying yourself and each other.
When the winter season rolls around, getting out on the mountain to go snowboarding is the go-to activity! I have been riding since I was 15 years old and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon!
Lastly, my friends and family have been attending a round of trivia every Tuesday at a local brewery for the past 6 years. We don’t do it every week to win (although we are rather good), but to enjoy your loved ones’ presence in an easy going, fun-filled environment!
I enjoy working on cars, hiking, playing video games, running through flight simulators, and reading about macro economics.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I had the opportunity to play soccer at a collegiate level, but because I did not get an offer from a school I wanted to attend, I decided to decline and go to the University of Tennessee for a regular college experience. I drastically missed the sport, which led me to try out for the Lady Volunteers practice squad. Against all odds, as there was a field of 90 plus players with only 10 being chosen, I was selected for the team and was technically classified as a Division 1 athlete through the NCAA Clearing House!
